Brad Haddin is the present Australian wicket keeper. Haddin grew up in NSW and has been waiting to get the baggy green for a while now, as soon as Gilly was gone there was no questions who was going to keep everyone knew it was going to be Haddin. Tacking over the captaincy of NSW he is a great player but not as great as Gilly was. Haddins last test will be one he will never forget, first off he took some classic catches and he made his first test century which nearly ended up in a double but he went out for 169. In h=Haddins little 9 tests he has got 508 runs and 31 catches. Inhis ODIs he has got 774 runs and 34 catches and 4 stumpings.

I think Brad Haddin is a great player and he definetly proved that in the last test, he will go on to be a great keeper and a handy batsmen

In Adealaide in a batsmans paradise, The Kiwis won the toss and chose to bat. Off spinner Nathan Hauritz first over in test cricket was disapointing when he got smashed ut ended up picking up 2 wickets. The Kiwis were all out for a disapointing 270. Then the Aussies got the pads on with Matt Hayden and Simon Kattich out in the middle They were looking sharp until Matt Hayden hit it passed the bowler and to mid on and ran, Katich sent him back when he was 3/4 of the way down and he was gone. Then Ricky Ponting came in the partnership didn’t last long until Katich got caught at silly point. Hussey was in him and Ricky Ponting made a 100 run partnership until Ponting fell for 79 when he tried to pull it and got caught and mid on. Hussey reachd his 50 and batted to 60 until stumps. Clarke made a quick 45. The next day Hussey tried to pull it and got caught at point. Then Symonds was in he went for a contraversily caught behind. Then for newly crowned keeper was in (Brad Haddin) he and Clarke made a partnership of 160. Then Clarke fell for 110 and Haddin amde 169. After that the order fell pretty quick and we made 500.

New Zealand failed to make our score and were all out for 203. I think Daniel Vetori is a selfish captain bowling 60 overs.

on a bouncy wicket back from India the Aussies were ready for a challenge and the challenger, NEW ZEALAND. Both the Aussies and Kiwis had come back from low wickets and the bouncy Gabba wicket was hard to bat on. In the first innings Mickeal Clarke top scored with 98 and Mitchell Johnson picked up 4 wickets. In the second innings Simon Katich batted out 131# and Mitchell Johnson won Man of the match with 5 more wickets.

Aussie went downn 2-0 in the tour in India. controversy struck in the last test when the Aussies had India on the back foot with spinner Jason Krejza picked up 2 wickets and then lunch was called.
After lunch Captain Ponting put part time bowlers into the attack. Now over half of Australia thinks that Ricky Ponting shouldn’t be captain.

Let me know what you think should Ricky Ponting captain yes or no?

Andrew Symonds was sent home from Darwin for going fishing instead of going to a compolsary team meeting. Symonds has a record of missing games against Bangladesh beacause he showed up to the ground drunk in 2005 when they were playing bangladesh.

On Saturday the 30th of August The Aussies played Bangladesh in Darwan, with a very young side because of players missing e.g. Ricky Ponting (injury), Brett Lee ( personal issues), Matthew Hayden (Injury), Andrew Symonds (disipline reasons) and Shane Watson ( Injury). So with Brett Geeves, Shuan Marsh, David Hussey and Cameron White in the Aussies looked up to their more experiest players the Aussies were raring to go. With James Hopes and Micheal Clarke out early it was left up to Marsh and Micheal Hussey they made a brilliant partnership but the then Marsh went for 75. Then came in David Hussey, the brothers were batting together David hit a brillian six before going on the next ball for 22 off 24. At the end of the innings Mike Hussey ended up with 85.

Mitchell Johnson removed Banglladesh’s 2 best batsman. On debut Brett Geeves got 2 wickets and White got 3. Man of the Match went to Mike Hussey.

The Aussies also won their other match on the 3rd of setember and are hoping to white wash the series

stumps.jpgAs Josh asked I will do a profile on Jim Laker, I don’t know much about him though. Jim palyed for England in the 1950’s. Jim was a right arm off break, he is famous for playing the cricket match known as “Lakers Match.” Laker was the first ever to take all 10 wickets by himself he got 10/53 WOW! His whole match resault was 19/90 he got 9 in the first innings and 10 in the second. No other bolwer had tacken more thet 17 wickets at first class. His test Debut was against the West Indies on January 21-26 1948 he got 9 wickets overall thats pretty good for a first gamer.

I didn’t know about Jim Laker at first but when I looked him up he must have been and incredable bowler and had heaps of skill to score every wicket for your team but 1 in the whole test match.
